Pesto Hummus

Ingredients

15 ozs chickpeas (cooked)
-
1/3 cup tahini
-
1/4 cup pine nuts
-
1 lemon
-
10 basil leaves
-
2 medium cloves of garlic
-
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-
4 tbsp cold water
-
a pinch of sea salt
-
pepper to taste
Instructions
-
Combine the chick peas, basil, tahini, garlic and the rest of the ingredients in a food processor
-
Process for 2 minutes, until mixture is smooth and creamy.

Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with basil
-
Serve with a variety of veggies (celery, carrot, cucumber, zucchini etc and pita for dipping.
